The Green Shoe
I've been trying to decide what to wear for St. Patricks' Day; I've gone back and forth with, Should I wear Green Monstah from Chowdaheadz.com or should I go Boston Celtics or Boston Irish...
OR a GREEN Johnny Cupcakes shirt would rock too! I don't see anything like that on the site though.
But then I found it...
The. Shoe. of all shoes. I am absolutely in LOVE!! An American Eagle Espadrille from Payless, of all places! It's going to be a Girly St. Patricks' Day this year!

In between a boy and a young man...
So my son was eating his breakfast this morning, oh and YES, I broke down and bought BISCUITS for breakfast.
When in Rome, right?
Anyway, my 10 year old says, I had a dream last night that I was dating a girl cartoon character!
Just evidence that he's still a boy trying hard to be a young man; I thought it was rather cute... unless it was Jessica Rabbit, I didn't ask...

Accents
Some of them make me cringe, ya'll...
I am actually DYING to hear someone walk into Dunkies and 'ordah' a medium 'laahge' wit extra 'sugah' and 'creamah' OR a 'regulah'
The other day hubs and I went into an Atlanta Bread (which really TRIES to be a Panera Bread but completely misses) and since we'd never been we were kinda taking a long time.
Hubs goes, "We must be your 'haahdest' ordah all day"
Blank stare.
So, I translate "haRdest" as in most difficult, not "hottest" as in...we're all that
Blank stare.
ugh, just gimmie my stale sandwich and lukewarm soup already.
ok, rant over.

Really, is anyone NOT surprised, shocked, saddened and upset to hear of Heath Ledgers death?
Especially me, I found myself in 2002 with a HUGE crush on a little known at the time(to me anyway) Aussie actor named Heath Ledger after watching A Knights Tale. It was odd and disturbing in a way because he seemed so much younger than I, though now I'm realizing he was only 4 years younger.
Anyway... I found out at work this afternoon that he died and it IS sad, but.. I certainly don't want to hear about it for the next 2 months on every damn television station. I'm sure his family doesn't either.
bleh. I think I'll shut the TV off for the next few days.
Oh, and tomorrow is my 33rd birthday. Yay me!

Any ideas on what to do with leftover Hannah Montana Christmas gifts?
Ok, really - I'm done with Hannah Montana. The novelty has worn off, it's over. I don't want to hear another song, see another doll or watch another show.
I have a houseful of HM fans; ages 10, 9 and 7 respectively, and they all love her.
This past Christmas my husband and I both had brilliant ideas - no Hannah Montana Christmas gifts... I was just tired of her.
For months the song "Nobody's Perfect" had been playing in the back of my head... nagging at my brain with some sense of familiarity, some inkling of "I've heard this before" then one day it clicked.
Take a listen - do the math: Compare the chorus of the following songs
Hannah Montana - Nobody's Perfect and The Killers, Somebody Told Me - is it just me or is there a similarity?
